Sagepay is one of the UK’s largest independent payment gateways and was formed back in 2001 by a group of private investors. Previously known as Protx, they were acquired by Sage to allow the payment gateway to be fully integrated into the Sage accounting software. Current users of the Sage software will definitely find this SagePay feature a major benefit when choosing a payment gateway. The online payment service has 3 different solutions to choose from, depending on the needs of your website; small business service, corporate and a bespoke solution. All three options are designed to be easily integrated, simple to manage and are very straight forward in terms of additional bolt-on services.

With a level 1 Payment Card Industry (PCI DSS) compliancy rating and being active members of the Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) it means that you are safe in the knowledge that your customers are safe at all times. Once you have set up the Merchant Account the payment gateway will accept all of the major credit cards including Visa, American Express and Visa Electron. They also offer an additional premium fraud prevention service if the requirements are more specialised.
