who is the client?

Sinks Taps and Beyond.com are a new division of The Fridge Filter Shop an established ecommerce company. The company provides low cost products, in comparison to high street retailers. Their prices are extremely competitive, which they constantly monitor to deliver the best possible product at the lowest price. They aim to supply great quality products at unbeatable prices.

what is the project brief?

With already having an ecommerce store selling just fridge filters, The Fridge Filter Shop wanted to make an impact in the sinks and taps market so they approached Advansys to build them a brand new bespoke ecommerce solution for their new division. The aim was to create a fresh, well presented, professional ecommerce site with thousands of products to choose from. As many of the products are quite small, the products needed to be displayed in such a way that the customer can easily see the details of the product.

From the beginning of the project we worked very closely with the client to understand exactly what they wanted from the ecommerce website and what they wished to achieve. With so many products on offer, categorising the products was the hurdle as this would give us a better idea of how the site would be structured. Once this was decided we moved onto the general look and feel of the ecommerce solution.

The corporate identity had already been created, which meant that the colours and the style of the site would have to follow this image. The two different shades of blue along with the tap and sink image leant itself to a blue gradient effect throughout the rest of the site to give it the water style.

our final solution

The customer had a basic idea of what they wanted but after working closely with the customer, Advansys designed and built a bespoke ecommerce solution for sinks, taps and beyond that is easy to use and looks great. The addition of product filters on the site makes it easier for users to find specific tap colour and finishes and brands. The solution also has the product review module integrated so that users are able to review each product that they have bought to provide other customers with more insight on the item. With the addition of the Promo Code module Sinks, Taps and Beyond are also able to offer their customers excellent discounts and regular offers which helps to them to build a good reputation.
