who is the client?

Spotty Pottery supply traditional Polish Pottery decorated using the stamping method. In this method Patterns are applied by hand using a range of specially prepared stamps, ensuring a quality finish, individuality of each product and an unlimited range of possible designs that fit into a specific theme. Spotty Pottery offer a wide range of these items both to private buyers and to the wholesale market.

what is the project brief?

Advansys were commissioned to build a clean and simple to navigate brochure site, that is a marketing website that is based on a Content Management system allowing content to be updated directly by the client. Part of the request which makes Spotty Pottery's website unique was that the CMS needed to include a simple way to structure the marketing materials for the company's products, in effect a product catalogue.

Advansys have a history of excelling in creating qulaity design from challenging briefs and the design for Spotty Pottery was one that needed careful handling to blend the traditional colours and patterns of the Stamped pottery with a clean and modern website design. The design features a number of refinements that were required to ensure a good flow of traffic and enquiries from the website, without being intrusive to the browsing experience; always a challenging area of design for brochure sites

The resulting design of Spottypottery.co.uk is modern and fresh yet retains a traditional character in keeping with the products themselves.

our final solution

The client was very please with the design of the website and the way in which traditional and modern are blended. Advansys sites are based around a core architecture that means that we were able to bring the product catalogue of our Ecommerce Solutions into the Brochure site framework, giving the client the requested ability to change and update their product line-up whenever they require, easily and without outside involvement.
