who is the client?

Kuya’s Tindahan are one of the largest online grocery and convenience store and beauty retailers for the Filipino-European market. They are a family business who has been serving the Filipino market for more than 10 years. Through their partnership with their sister company, Calling Now, they have managed to cater for the Filipino market with many different services.

what is the project brief?

The project brief given to Advansys was to build an ecommerce solution that encompasses the spirit of the Filipino market coupled with high usability to ensure that the site delivers for their market. The main focus for the client was to have a design that doesn’t detract from the unique range of products that they have on offer.

From discussions with Kuya’s Tindahan, Advansys were able to come up with a solution that was easy to use and simple to update. Advansys put together a solution that enables Kuya’s Tindahan to update both their Calling Now website and the new Kuya’s website from the same CMS platform. The Kuya’s Tindahan integrated as a second skin onto the Calling Now platform, meaning they only have 1 login process.

our final solution

The final website breaks down into 2 main departments Grocery and Beauty, which enables customers to find the range of products they are looking for quickly and without confusion. The product zoom functionality enables the user to look at the product in detail and the online ‘Live Assistance’ offers users the chance to find out more information about the products on offer by contacting the company directly. All of these elements has made the site incredibly engaging and has helped the site achieve some excellent success.
