who is the client?

Yakult is a healthy probitoic drink to help improve digestive health, and the company behind that iconic drink are experts in promoting healthy eating and healthy lifestyles.

what is the web design brief?

As a huge multi-national co-operation, Yakult needed a website design that not only fits within the design contraints of their professional coroporate identity but also the needs and desires of their consumesrs. It is Yakult's goal to be the authorative website when it comes to probiotic drinks, gut health and healthy eating plans.

Yakult originally commission us to complete a full search engine optimisation project on their web site. Within a few months we had achieved position one rankings on Google for keywords such as 'probiotic drinks'. Disaster struck when their design agency redesigned the website but did not take into consideration any of the SEO work that we had carried out. This resulted in Yakult losing all of their keyword rankings. As Yakult were impressed with the work that we had carried out they gave Advansys the opportunity to rebuid the web site and in addition develop a microsite.

Since the brochure website has been built, Yakult have gone on to have a web based Customer Relationship Management Solution built by Advansys which has been developed to streamline their business processes. This scalable application is a multi channel solution that takes data from different sources and stores this data securely within one central database. Yakult are now able to hold valuable details against each customer, and have the ability to track any specific customers history, ultimately providing Yakult with a better insight into consumer behaviour. Also the Yakult CRM has been integrated with an external data cleansing application called Experian QAS so that Yakult can clean their data in an instant. This information gives them extremely high ROI and low bounce rates on their email marketing campaigns.

The Yakult website has just been redesigned to bring a new fresh feeling to the website with bright colours and Web2.0 effects. The new site includes modules to keep Yakult’s customers informed of their latest activities and supported events, a new recipes section to promote healthy (and very tasty) meals, PPC tracking on all contact forms as well as closer integration into the new CRM. Yakult are a world leader in probiotics and the redesign has allowed them to promote their healthy lifestyle tips on the internet in an attraction, user friendly way. We have also ensured that the whole new design and new functionality is SEO friendly to enhance the work that are SEO team are curetnly working on. The site design itself was changed a few times at the beginning of the project to ensure that it met their brand requirements whilst still incorporating a fresh, modern image that would appeal to their customers and match their new TV campaign. our final solution

Working closely with Yaklut with their internet marketing strategy, in particular SEO and PPC their traffic has been steadily increasing over the last 18 months resulting in a signifcant increase in customers.

As part of this internet marketing strategy we have redesigned the current website to launch Yakult into Web2.0 and incorporate some brand new features. The design of the new site is meeting aims of strengthening the brand values and tie in with the new Press and TV advertising which were rolled out in August 2009.
