In order to improve its e-commerce solution, Asda has said that they will invest 700m in a multichannel site.

Same Day Delivery On New E-commerce Solution

To improve on their already successful e-commerce solution, Asda will invest 700 million into the development of its multi channel offering. Already offering specified delivery times, the supermarket chain is set to include same-day delivery into its new grocery order system. Billed as the worldds firstt, Asda will be the only supermarket to offer this service from its e-commerce solution.

In 2012, the Walmart owned supermarket announced a growth of 4.5% in sales, up 21.8 billion since last year.
